According to a TEISS report published on 26 August 2020, Merseyside Police arrested the teenager and subsequently released him under investigation for allegedly compromising multiple PayPal accounts based in the UK earlier that year. The arrest was carried out by the force’s Cyber Dependent Crime Unit in collaboration with the Matrix team. A search of the suspect’s residence was conducted as part of the investigation, and the operation resulted in the seizure of numerous personal items.
