Description
The attacker was able to gain unauthorized access to the application server and exfiltrate sensitive data, including credit card numbers, expiration dates, names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of customers. The attacker also gained access to a database containing personal information about employees, including their Social Security numbers, salaries, job titles, and departmental information.

The incident was discovered when an employee noticed unusual network activity and alerted the IT department. An investigation revealed that the attackers had been present on the system for several weeks before being detected. The company took steps to contain the damage and notified affected customers via email.
