Description

On the night of Sunday, May 18, 2025, hackers gained unauthorized access to the official Instagram account of the Teatro Castro Alves. The intruders published a series of images deemed inappropriate by the platform’s community standards. Accompanying the images were messages written in foreign languages that contained suspicious links. Users of Instagram quickly recognized the content as unauthorized and began to comment on the posts, alerting others to the breach. Some of the offending posts were removed by the platform or the account holders before the full extent of the intrusion was understood. Ultimately, the entire Instagram profile of the Teatro Castro Alves was deleted as part of the immediate response to the incident.
