Description
On June 1, 2025, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MITIC) confirmed that the Unified Public Information Access Portal had been targeted by a cyber attack. The alert was triggered after an account on the social media platform X, attributed to the group “CyberTeam”, claimed responsibility for hacking the site. The platform experienced a temporary interruption as a result of the incident. According to the state ministry, the attack was quickly contained and mitigated. The portal has since returned to normal operation.

MITIC stated that no unauthorized access to sensitive information was detected. The ministry emphasized that the portal hosts only public content, which precluded any data leakage or capture. The incident was described as part of a concerning series of cyber incidents affecting public institutions. MITIC noted that the attack was swiftly handled, limiting any potential impact.
Recent cyber incidents have also affected the Ministry of Health, the Jury of Magistrates of Judges, the Superior Electoral Tribunal, and even the presidential X account.
