BWSSB chairman Ram Prasath Manohar confirmed that a formal complaint had been registered with the cybercrime police station for further investigation. He stated that initial investigations indicated no sensitive customer data had been compromised. The attack focused on the portal linked to water connection applications, which held limited and recent applicant data. Preliminary analysis showed that only a small portion of data was accessed during the attempt. BWSSB emphasized that its customer data remains securely stored in the Karnataka State Data Centre and that no sensitive or confidential information was leaked.
