The communication style used by the perpetrators resembled business‑like language often associated with Eastern European or Russian cybercriminal operations. They framed their extortion as a legitimate transaction and threatened further data disclosure unless negotiations resumed. This episode mirrored earlier attacks by the same group on healthcare organizations, where patient records were stolen and offered for sale on dark web markets.
