Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) is an Indian defence shipyard engaged in the design, construction, repair and refit of warships, submarines and auxiliary vessels for the Indian Navy. The company also undertakes commercial shipbuilding projects, including offshore support vessels, port craft and specialized marine structures. Its product portfolio encompasses aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, corvettes, submarines and various auxiliary craft. MDL serves both domestic defence requirements and, on occasion, export markets for naval platforms.
