Trustwave researchers verified the attacks as part of Killnet’s campaign against entities supporting Ukraine, though assessed the methods as technically unsophisticated. The threat group publicly celebrated the disruptions via Telegram channels and threatened expanded operations against organizations opposing Russian interests.
