Profile

Revest Finance operates as a decentralized finance protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. The protocol facilitates transactions involving various digital assets, including the tokens BLOCKS, ECO, LYXe, and RENA. Its core functionality relies on smart contracts that manage the exchange and movement of these tokens. As a DeFi service, it aims to provide users with permissionless access to financial instruments without intermediaries. The platform’s design emphasizes composability within the broader Ethereum ecosystem. Its headquarters are located in the United States of America.

On March 27, 2022, Revest Finance experienced a security breach in which approximately two million dollars worth of assets were stolen. The exploit stemmed from a re‑entrancy vulnerability in its Ethereum smart contracts, allowing attackers to drain the aforementioned tokens. The stolen assets were converted to Ether and subsequently laundered through the mixing service TornadoCash, with most of the proceeds remaining untraceable except for holdings of the RENA token. The protocol publicly stated that it could not recover the stolen funds or offer insurance coverage to affected users. In response, Revest Finance announced a collaboration on an NFT initiative intended to raise at least seven hundred Ether for victim reimbursement. Security firms analyzed the attack, citing inadequate reentrancy safeguards, and the protocol committed to conducting enhanced audits and implementing patches before resuming operations, while work on detailed compensation plans continued.
