Kingdom of Bahrain

Bahrain is a sovereign state that exercises the full range of governmental functions typical of a modern nation, including the formulation and implementation of public policy, the provision of essential services such as education, health care and infrastructure, the maintenance of internal security and external defence, and the conduct of foreign relations. Bahrain maintains active diplomatic ties with a broad spectrum of nations, including Israel, and participates actively in the Gulf Cooperation Council, contributing to collective political, economic and security initiatives.
