Although no misuse of the exposed information has been reported, the city notified affected individuals and offered them one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services.

Following the incident, the City of Tucson stated that it is reviewing its cybersecurity policies and implementing additional safeguards to prevent similar occurrences. The breach highlighted the municipality’s responsibility to protect resident data entrusted to its information systems.
