A separate phishing attempt involved search engine advertisements promoting another fraudulent domain that briefly appeared above the genuine Bittrex site in search results. Both schemes aimed to harvest user authentication details to gain unauthorized access and drain funds from accounts by exploiting visual similarities to the authentic exchange platform.
