Roscosmos, also known as the Russian Federal Space Agency, is the state organization responsible for the design, development, and operation of space systems and related activities. Its core activities include the production of launch vehicles such as the Soyuz and Angara families, the manufacture of crewed and uncrewed spacecraft like the Soyuz MS and Progress vehicles, and the provision of satellite services for communications, navigation, and Earth observation. The agency also manages Russia’s participation in the International Space Station, overseeing crew training, mission control, and logistics support. In addition to governmental missions, Roscosmos offers commercial launch services to international customers through its subsidiary entities.
