Approximately 7,500 individuals were identified as having their data potentially exposed in the breach. Following detection, the vendor responsible for the affected systems worked to restore encrypted data and implemented remedial measures. Vantage Healthcare Network arranged for credit monitoring services to be offered to those individuals whose information was involved. Investigations conducted after the incident found no evidence that the compromised data had been misused for fraudulent or other harmful purposes. The event highlights the cybersecurity challenges that healthcare organisations face when safeguarding large volumes of personal health information. In response, Vantage Healthcare Network has continued to review and strengthen its security protocols and incident response capabilities to better protect patient data moving forward.
