Nexus Telecom, also known as Nexus Telecom, is a Swiss software company headquartered in Switzerland. The company provides network monitoring software specifically designed for mobile telecommunications operators. Its solutions are utilized by major European telecommunications providers to oversee network operations.

On 1 January 2024, Nexus Telecom was subjected to a ransomware attack carried out by the group known as 8Base. The attackers asserted that they had exfiltrated a significant volume of confidential data and threatened to publish it unless demands were met. The firm’s chief executive officer publicly confirmed the breach but did not disclose the exact scope of the compromised information or systems. Nexus Telecom emphasized that the incident did not affect the continuity of services for its customers. Following the breach, the company stated that it was cooperating with law‑enforcement and regulatory authorities to investigate the incident. 8Base is characterized as an opportunistic ransomware operation that frequently employs the Phobos ransomware variant in its attacks. The group maintains a darknet leak site that deliberately excludes victims located in Russia and the former Soviet states from its public disclosures. Security analysts have noted stylistic and tactical overlaps between 8Base’s activities and those of the RansomHouse ransomware syndicate.
