Danish Computer Security Incident Response Team

DKCERT is the Danish Computer Security Incident Response Team, serving as the national CSIRT for Denmark. It provides incident detection, analysis, and response services to help organisations manage and recover from cybersecurity events. The team issues advisories, guidelines, and situational reports that outline current threats and recommend mitigation measures. It also conducts training sessions and exercises to improve the preparedness of Danish entities against cyber attacks. As the national point of contact, DKCERT coordinates with other CSIRTs domestically and participates in international forums such as FIRST to share threat intelligence. The 2023-06-06 DDoS attack on its own website, which rendered the primary site and two associated services unavailable for about three hours, illustrates both the threats it faces and its prior assessment that hacktivism against its sector was high. Structurally, DKCERT is operated under the Danish Ministry of Defence’s Centre for Cyber Security, reflecting its governmental affiliation and mandate to support national cyber resilience.
