Financial losses from the incident were estimated to be between eighty and ninety‑five million dollars, with the majority stemming from lost sales and unfulfilled orders. Direct recovery expenses amounted to approximately seven point three million dollars, while the company received a cyber insurance payout of fourteen point six million dollars. Most of Demant’s operations were restored after several weeks of remediation, although residual effects on sales continued for months afterward. The event highlighted the importance of cyber risk management for manufacturers with extensive international supply chains.
