It came to public attention as a victim of the OpNessunDorma hacktivist operation. The operation was carried out on April 9, 2016. OpNessunDorma is associated with the hacker collectives Anonymous and LulzSec Italy.

The operation targeted Italian job-seeking portals and associated entities. As part of the attack, approximately 1.8 million user records were compromised. Additionally, half a million job-seeker evaluations were exposed. Thousands of corporate contacts were also included in the leaked data. The total size of the data dump was about 300 megabytes. The dump was hosted on the file‑sharing service MEGA. The breach revealed vulnerabilities in websites developed by the design agency Engitel. Engitel’s own data was present in the leaked material. Prior to this incident, the same groups had conducted distributed denial‑of‑service attacks against government portals linked to controversial infrastructure projects. The attackers stated that the leak was intended to protest labor conditions and corporate‑favoring legislation in Italy. They also demanded higher minimum wages and mandatory health insurance for workers.
