Museum Ulm

Museum Ulm operates as a cultural institution in Ulm, Germany, maintaining collections of art, archaeology, and regional history. In February 2022 the institution announced a significant operational disruption caused by extensive renovation and construction work. As a result of the project, the main exhibition spaces were temporarily closed and key objects were moved to an adjacent facility. The archival division remained open during the closure, continuing to provide access to its collections and research services. The multi‑year renovation includes demolition of existing structures and new construction that will fundamentally change the museum’s layout and spatial offerings. Once completed, the rebuilt venue is intended to provide updated exhibition areas and improved visitor facilities while preserving the museum’s core functions.
