In April 2018, Thai Airways experienced a cyberattack in which a Pakistani hacker using the alias "Hunter butt" defaced 23 subdomains, affecting services such as mail servers, DNS, payment platforms, and booking systems. The attacker replaced the affected pages with an animated message featuring a Pakistani flag before the airline restored its website and removed the defaced content. This incident highlighted vulnerabilities in the airline's digital infrastructure and prompted subsequent security improvements.
