The malicious cyber intrusion reported on 15 August 2023, which resulted in the theft of employee, HR and credit‑card data and was linked to the Trigona ransomware group, prompted investigations by the Hong Kong police and the privacy watchdog and led to government directives to raise digital security standards across the park’s tenant base. This incident underscores the importance of robust cybersecurity measures for organisations operating within Cyberport’s ecosystem.
