Invest Bank, also known as UAE Investbank or Investbank UAE, is a commercial bank headquartered in the United Arab Emirates. The bank provides retail banking services to individual customers, including credit card products. It also provides banking services to businesses and government entities. The institution maintains customer identification records, including passport scans and identity documents, as part of its know‑your‑customer procedures. The bank operates within the United Arab Emirates.

In December 2015, a cyber incident led to the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive customer data, including credit card numbers, passport scans, bank statements, and identity documents, which the bank confirmed was a re‑release of previously stolen information. Earlier in November 2015, a hacker identified as Hacker Buba breached the bank’s systems, exfiltrated confidential client data, and demanded a $3 million ransom in Bitcoin, threatening to leak the information unless paid. The bank reported both incidents to national authorities, including the Central Bank of the UAE and aeCERT, and refused to comply with the extortion demands. Cybersecurity analysts noted that the attacks highlighted systemic vulnerabilities and the attacker’s use of international digital obfuscation tactics to evade tracing. Despite the publicity, the bank stated that no fresh system intrusions were linked to the December disclosure and that the material consisted of historical data that had been previously compromised.
