Profile
Telekom Slovenije is the primary telecommunications provider in Slovenia, offering a range of services that include fixed‑line voice, mobile telecommunications, broadband internet, and data‑centre‑based ICT solutions. The company serves residential consumers, business enterprises, and public‑sector institutions across the country. Through its Kosovo‑based subsidiary IPKO, it extends similar voice, mobile, and broadband offerings to customers in Kosovo. Its product portfolio is designed to support both everyday communication needs and more complex enterprise connectivity requirements.
As the incumbent operator, Telekom Slovenije maintains a nationwide network infrastructure that underpins its service delivery in Slovenia. The firm is recognised as a major player in the Slovenian telecommunications market, contributing to the country’s digital infrastructure. Its operations are subject to national telecommunications regulation and it participates in initiatives aimed at expanding broadband access and improving network resilience.
In February 2025, Telekom Slovenije experienced a cyberattack that targeted its incident management and troubleshooting support system, prompting immediate containment actions. Although the company stated that customer communication databases were not compromised, attackers exfiltrated files containing personal subscriber data such as addresses, phone numbers, and IP addresses, as well as operational documents, partner contracts, and highway traffic violation recordings. The leaked material also related significantly to the telecommunications operations of its subsidiary IPKO in Kosovo. Telekom Slovenije collaborated with law enforcement and cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach, while no ransom demand was reported at the time of the incident.
